Tim Discussed 501(c) status and Record keeping
- Currently non-profit status expired / invalid
- $400 fee to reestablish
- Do not feel that this is necessary, or needed expense- no real advantages of having (at our current size)
- Will start maintaining membership records
- Records necessary in the event we revisit non-profit status
- Will announce membership information (new members, etc) changes at meetings
- Qtrly update on income/expenses
- Once we have a good base of data we can discuss annual budget (future)
- Tim is going to verify if there are any special requirements for us to maintain AHA Club status

- Katherine asked that each officer reach out to the person who held responsibility previously to discuss duties and expectations.
- We each gave a brief description of what we felt our responsibilities are

- We feel that the original information in non-existent / lost
- Discussed the opportunity to re-create in the future
Todd explained his process of working with Bruce to keep track of the Clubs equipment
- Todd will maintain tracking sheet that outlines basic information on who has checked out equipment
- Keith provided Todd the information on how to update the loaner equipment sheet on the website
We discussed membership, and annual dues
- need to gather a list of member benefits- discounts, etc.
- Should we solicit additional discounts- Retail beer, breweries, supplies?
- Can we print membership cards? This would make it easy for anyone participating in discount program. This should be very simple once we track paid members.
- Membership will be set on a fiscal year beginning October
- Keith will work with Tim to setup a PayPal account to help facilitate collecting dues
- Will be slight up-charge to help pay for additional fees ~$25
Meeting Goals
- We discussed how we feel the meetings need to be focused more towards improving brewers skills, and providing meaningful feedback. Feel that we can do a better job in soliciting feedback from members, new members, and guests.
- We will ask people who brought beers to tell us about what they brought
- We will have score sheets available if they would like their beers judged / scored
- We can ask guests to describe why they are there/ what are they looking for/ expectations/ and how they found out about us
- Keith will develop a online anonymous survey that we can send to the club members and guests so that we can get meaningful feedback.

- Tim will get a list of sizes and an image so that we can post online and on the website
- Discussed Iron Brewer Format
- Should be anonymous
- For Oct winner will be chosen by member “yeah vote”
- For future contests will be based on anonymous voting
- Will work with Andy to publish list of upcoming iron brewer styles for 2016
- Discussed Brewer of the year points should only be accrued by paid members. Points will not start accruing until membership is paid.
- We can adjust the program to accommodate this for 2016
- We feel that the Club should be more involved in regionally- become more regionally know / respected
- Forest will communicate upcoming regional contests and encourage Club participation

- BJCP judging certification was discussed, we will discuss with Club to see if their is interest
- Discussed the new club in Benton County- OZ (Ozark Zymurgists)- and how there may be opportunities to coordinate / collaborate with them in the future.
- Would like to look into re-introducing brew in gatherings
- November 7th is Learn to Home Brew Day- might be a great brew-in opportunity!
